Traditional shepherd's huts and two cosy glamping houses with en-suite facilities (including a replica chapel) nestled in a secluded meadow in Hampshire. Tiny Tin is an option for additional space, which can be positioned next to any of the other glamping shepherd's huts or glamping houses.

Glamping shepherd's huts in the heart of the South Downs

Our glamping shepherd's huts, and cosy glamping houses with en-suite facilities, provide quiet and cosy retreats from the modern world. Step back in time to a simpler way of life.

Surrounded by an ancient bluebell wood in the South Downs National Park, the glamping shepherd's huts and cosy glamping houses with en-suite facilities are cleverly designed and beautifully decorated with a vintage touch. They have wood-burning stoves to cook on and keep you warm, snug feather beds with crisp linen, and everything else you need for a relaxing break.

Take a digital detox

It’s back to basics for lighting, heating, cooking and washing – just like it was for a shepherd out lambing 100 years ago!

Cooking and heating The heart of your shepherd’s hut is the wood-burning stove which provides heat for cooking and hot water. Our stoves feature a large hotplate and an oven just big enough to roast a small chicken, or even bake fresh bread! Firewood is included and stoves are pre-laid to light on arrival.

Lighting Hurricane lamps and battery-operated candles provide a cosy, intimate atmosphere in the evenings and we’ll show you how they work when you arrive. The lamps are safe and easy to use, but if you don’t feel confident, please bring your own LED lanterns.

Hot water Water needs to be heated up on the stove or campfire in the big kettle provided. Draw your water from the stand pipes around the site and use a traditional jug and bowl for washing. Hot water is also available in the wash hut where there are showers and composting toilets.

Experience blissful bathing in our wood-fired hot tubs while gazing at the canopy of stars above you. It's a unique and memorable experience that will stay with you forever! Butser and Old Winchester are the shepherd's huts with hot tubs.

The Wash Hut

If your shepherd's hut doesn't have en-suite facilites, the showers and toilets are located in a custom-built shepherd’s hut with two washrooms, each with a shower and composting toilet. Forget your memories of dribbling, luke-warm campsite showers, ours provide a steaming deluge from watering can shower heads!

We also have our own composting toilets that are clean and odourless, saving more than 30,000 gallons of water annually.

Add extra space with Tiny Tin: Sleeps 2

Is there a snorer in your party? Would the teenagers prefer their own space? Add Tiny Tin to your group glamping trip and enjoy the extra 'Wriggle Room'.

Tiny Tin can be configured as a bedroom to sleep 2 people; a dining room; extra living space or just about anything. It’s even been used as a bar and also a childrens’ play shop!

There’s a cute little stove, but no kitchen. Tiny Tin can only be hired in conjunction with another hut.
