Welcome to Wallops Wood Cottages

Self Catering Holiday Cottages in the Beautiful Hampshire Countryside.

Located in the picturesque Meon Valley within the South Downs National Park and easy reach of Portsmouth and Winchester, our self catering holiday cottages are an excellent base from which to explore all that Hampshire has to offer. Stunning countryside, historical buildings, charming villages and a beautiful coastline is all within easy reach and there's something for everyone.

With 8 self-catering cottages on site, we can accept groups of all sizes, from families of 4 up to large groups of 54, as we can accommodate groups in several cottages. All our cottages are dog friendly and have their own personal hot tub.

Seven of our cottages have ground floor access, three of them are M3A rated and have accessible kitchen facilities and accessible bathrooms.

Please contact us on (+44 ) 01489 878888 or email us [email protected] for further information about our cottages, or you can check availability for your preferred dates.

Our cancellation policy

Covid-related Local and National Lockdowns or Travel Restrictions

We guarantee a full refund of monies paid in the event of (1) a National Lockdown and/or (2) the government placing the address given on the booking form into a Tier with a Do Not Travel restriction.

Our refund guarantee does NOT cover guests for (1) falling ill with Covid (or any other illness), (2) a requirement to self-isolate or quarantine, or (3) a Track & Trace alert preventing them from travelling. Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover those situations (we regret that we are unable to recommend specific companies and policies).

Other cancellations

Guests wishing to cancel will receive refunds on the following scale: 100% if cancelled up to and including 7 days prior to arrival; 50% if cancelled between 6 days and up to and including 3 days prior to arrival; 0% if cancelled between 2 days and up to and including arrival date.

Cancellations must be immediately notified to us by phone on 01489-878888 and then confirmed in writing by email at [email protected]. As soon as we are informed in writing by email of a cancellation, we will make the dates available for rebooking on our website. If eligible, refunds are made on the departure date of the original booking.

For cancellations between 6 days and arrival date: if we are successful in re-letting we may be able to refund in full, less any discount we have had to make for the new booking. It may not be possible to resell all the dates for the price previously paid by the cancelling guest, particularly if we have had to discount.

In August 2020 we were very proud to win the National Self Catering Accommodation of the Year Silver Award, so you’re in good hands at Wallops Wood Cottages.

Enjoying the Simple Things in Life

For many of us, a holiday can often be the only time we get to really switch off from the busyness of our daily lives, whether it be a busy family life or work life. We are advocates of a slower, simpler life and encourage our guests to do the same; take the time to…
