With Christmas now behind us, many of us are starting to think about our summer holidays and planning the months ahead. We all need something to look forward to, particularly in the cold and grey months of winter. With ongoing Covid restrictions in Europe, a staycation is going to be another popular choice this year. However, accommodation will get booked up quite quickly, so now’s the time to get ahead and book that all important holiday 😎 ☀️
Our Cottages
We can accommodate groups from 4 up to 8 people in our cottages and many guests book a couple of cottages together to celebrate family occasions and special life events.
Silver Birch has a very spacious living area so that up to 34 guests from several cottages can dine together. And if the whole site is booked for your event, 54 people can stay here. We have several local chef contacts who can provide fine dining or more casual outdoor dining options. Perfect for celebrating!
Woodbrook is our smallest cottage and sleeps 4 people in 2 en-suite bedrooms. One en-suite is a wetroom suitable for guests with accessible needs, and the second en-suite has a bath. The bedrooms have patio doors leading to the patio with hot tub and there’s a garden at the edge of our meadow for you to enjoy the views.
Sundew, Teal and Glenside accommodate groups of up to 6. These cottages all have amazing views from the patio and living areas, enclosed garden adjacent to our meadow, perfect for children and dogs. Hot tub on the patio, an en-suite bathroom for each bedroom, cosy wood burner and underfloor heating are all additional features.
Hedgehunter, Silver Birch and Early Mist accommodate groups of up to 8. As with Sundew, Teal and Glenside, they have amazing views from the patio, enclosed gardens and the same features as our other cottages. Spacious and comfortable they are great for family and friends getting together.
Skeldale is a refurbished detached cottage accommodating up to 8 in four bedrooms. It has a large enclosed garden, hot tub and offers cosy and comfortable accommodation for families.
In order to accommodate larger numbers, several cottages can be booked together. These cottages are Sunny Teal, Glen Hunter, Silver Mist and Silver Mist Glen. Please contact us for more information about booking accommodation for large groups.

Availability at Wallops Wood
Availability over the school holidays in 2022 is booking up fast. At the moment, we have plenty of availability for February half term from 21-25 February.
Easter holiday dates (11-22 April) are getting quite booked up now, although we have more availability at the beginning and end of the holidays.
May half term (30 May – 3 June) has little availability, only Skeldale and Hedgehunter are available for the whole period.
The July and August school holidays are also getting very booked up with pockets of availability left. Sundew and Skeldale have the most availability.
Teal, our most popular cottage, has good accessible accommodation and is 90% full between March and late September.
