What guests are saying

We booked Teal for three generations of our family, including one with profound access needs. Everything we needed was sorted out for us in advance so we could relax straight away. The cottage is really well designed with everything you could need - and a hot tub which you don't strictly need but was fabulous at the end of each day. Would thoroughly recommend and will be going again.
Multigenerational / August 2015
We had two cottages. Firstly the views are amazing. The cottage itself is very roomy we never felt on top of each other with each bedroom having an en-suite it was perfect. It was the small things that had been thought of wine & locally produced apple juice, homemade cake, tea, coffee all there upon arrival. I would, and have, recommended as a perfect weekend away.
Girls weekend / May 2015
Just had a week in Glenside - 3 generations plus 2 dogs - all perfectly catered for in the cottage. Beautifully fitted out with everything you could need on holiday. En-suites and TV in each bedroom meant no queues or arguments! Hot tubs a definite bonus - watching the stars in the amazingly clear skies whilst relaxing in the bubbles. Dogs had the best time - large field to wander in and the treats (and extra poo bags) were much appreciated. Lovely location in the Meon Valley - lots of walks and excellent pubs and lovely villages, yet only a short drive to Portsmouth or Chichester. We will be back.

We all very much enjoyed staying in your beautiful cottages. Thank you so much for the warm welcome, it all looked so lovely with the decorations and the Christmas tree. The plan worked absolutely perfectly, we arrived from our home in the Channel Islands and our children and seven grandchildren came for the day for a buffet lunch and tea and we saw two great grandchildren for the first time!
Family Christmas / December 2014
Fabulous weekend break - We, a group of 8 friends, had a fantastic weekend break at Wallops Wood. We stayed in Early Mist, one of 5 cottages set in a beautiful, peaceful, countryside location with views towards the Isle of Wight. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, fantastically comfortable and well equipped. Everything had been thought of and the owners could not have been more helpful. The hot tub was a wonderful addition-what a treat! All in all it was a thoroughly relaxing and revitalising break - we hope to return!

Staying at Wallops Wood Cottages has been an absolute delight. My wife has lived there for 1 month while between homes in the Winchester area and it has been near impossible to find fault in any way, shape or form. The attention to detail and consideration for the guests' needs is second to none. Information on local attractions and amenities is provided along with some initial supplies to make arrival far more welcoming. I am quite certain that Wallops Wood could claim to be Five Star Accommodation in terms of the quality, finish and comfort of the cottages. The beds are extremely comfortable, each room has a great en-suite and the kitchen and living areas are well-planned. The WiFi connection is extremely fast. Set in the middle of gorgeous countryside you wake to views across the garden and fields beyond with the sea visible in the distance. There are public footpaths close-bye for dog walks or running and some great pubs, serving great food in the vicinity. Naturally this is an excellent base for day trips to either of the National Parks and beyond. We shall certainly stay at Wallops Wood Cottages again.
Moving house long stay /September 2014
All in all an amazing place, we are going to spread the word - We had a great time at your cottage. It was honestly one of the nicest places I have stayed. Every detail has been thought of and it was all so welcoming and clean. The walking books and local ale were great, the utensils amazing, the apple juice lovely, and cake a delicious homemade touch.

When you live with disability, going away can feel overwhelming to arrange. Wallops Wood could not have been more helpful in being able to offer anything that might be needed. Once there, the design and arrangement of the cottage was evident that it was done with disability in mind, as opposed to 'for' disabled people, from the wet room to the thoughtful addition of a mechanical chair, all of which could be used by those without disability too. If you want to go somewhere where disability isn't a challenge, Wallops Wood Cottages is the place to go. We will definitely return although I suspect that we will have to book a long way in advance once everyone discovers these cottages.

We had a lovely stay. The cottage was very well equipped, really comfortable beds and pillows, and suited us ideally with its spacious open-plan layout. I was envious of the kitchen and we even used the hot tub a few times! We would certainly come and stay again if the opportunity arises.

I have been watching Wallops Wood cottages mature from an old farm building and a scruffy building site into a simply magical place atop a hill overlooking the meadows. I will forever cherish staying at the cottages, it was one of the best parts of my wedding.

We stayed the night before and the night of my wedding day and it was simply wonderful. All of my favourite people came together in this magical place.

I cannot wait to come back to see how it matures over the years - and to see what Katherine and Andrew have in store for the future of Wallops Woods.
Local wedding party / June 2014
Excellent accommodation and beautiful location! My family stayed at the cottages for a wedding reception and were seriously impressed. Huge, well equipped rooms all with en-suite. Toys had been left for out for the children, essentials in the fridge, home made cake and a hot tub. Heaven. A great place to hold a wedding reception too as the view is wonderful and the location very private. We would definitely go again.
Wedding party with children / June 2014
On arrival we were kindly greeted by the owners who gave us a delightful introduction and showed us around the cottage. We were instantly impressed by the quality and luxurious feel to the place. The rooms were all spacious, light and comfortable with lots of attention to detail. The cottages are situated in a beautiful, serene location with fabulous views and the week went by with lots of day trips out as well time spent in because we just had to use some of the facilities on offer at the cottage. My wife enjoyed using the hot tub, the older children were happy with the DVDs kindly provided and the youngest were thankful for the basket of toys in their room.
