Make a Gingerbread man or lady with all the ingredients ready for you.
Children and adults will love this fun baking time we have put together for you.
Andrew and Anthea, two local children, have tested the recipe for you. Our resident Wallops Wood children had a lot of fun during the holidays making these tasty creations.
We have printed the instructions on a laminated sheet with all the ingredients weighed and provided for you. All you need to do is get the children to mix the ingredients with the electric whisk (in all the kitchens of the cottages) , roll out the dough with the rolling pin, cut out the gingerbread men and ladies with the biscuit cutters, bake it in the oven (sheet pans provided in all our cottages) and then get creative with the icing pens, smarties and fruit pastels that are in each baking pack! You get to keep your 3 cutters, one apron and one rolling pin.
Your gingerbread baking experience includes:
- Ingredients including: unsalted butter, flour, salt, bicarbonate of soda, ground ginger, cinnamon, soft brown sugar, golden syrup
- 1 x apron age appropriate
- 1 x rolling pin
- 1 x Baking paper sheet
- 1x laminated recipe card
- 3 x gingerbread cookie cutters
All kitchen equipment is included in your cottage! This makes approximately 10 gingerbread biscuits.
Aprons may vary from the ones shown in the photographs.
You get to take away your rolling pin, apron, recipe card and cookie cutters as well as any left over icing (as if there will be any left)!
