Over the years we’ve had many celebrations at Wallops Wood from big birthdays and anniversaries to family get togethers or just an excuse to get together with friends not seen for a while.
With individual cottages sleeping up to 8, along with booking cottages together, you can have a group of up to 22 staying comfortably with space to gather together for celebratory meals. Or why not hire the whole site if you’re planning a special celebration for up to 54 people? Perhaps you’re planning something a little more intimate such as a birthday meal or Valentine meal for that special person while staying with us.
If you don’t want to cook for your celebratory meal, please get in touch and let us know how many people you’re celebrating with. We have local chefs and caterers that we can recommend and who will cater for a variety of diets. We can also put you in touch with local bakers for a celebration cake and florists to provide beautiful bouquets for a special person. Please let us know if there’s anything else you need to dress up your cottage and make the evening extra special.
Cottage Facilities
The oak dining tables can be extended to comfortably seat 12 people, so although the cottages sleep a maximum of 8, you can have meals together in one cottage.
If you are taking more than one cottage, we can also rearrange the furniture so that two tables are placed in one cottage, enabling you seat up 22 people, and the sitting room furniture can be placed in the other cottage.
In Silver Birch cottage, the dining tables can seat 30 people for lunch or dinner, ensuring a large event need not be a headache for you. We can provide extra seating if you’d like to eat al fresco for your celebration.
Silver Birch kitchen has been designed especially for larger groups and get togethers, with an extra oven, fridge, dishwasher and warming drawer.
Farmhouse Prepared Meals
We can offer you a selection of prepared meals perhaps for the evening you arrive or to have during your stay if you don’t want to cook. All you need to do is reheat the meal when you’re ready to eat. These meals are prepared in our farmhouse kitchen, all we need is 7 days’ notice to ensure your meal is ready for you.

- Apple Crumble & Custard
- Ice Cream (Chocolate, Clotted Cream or Espresso Mocha) home-made in our farmhouse kitchen

Supermarket Delivery
Many of our guests arrange to have a supermarket delivery either on arrival or at some point during their stay to make life easier. If you would like to use a local supermarket for a food delivery, please give them the name of your cottage e.g Teal, Silver Birch, Hedgehunter etc, and the postcode SO32 3QY.
Please ensure you get your shopping delivered after you have arrived, as some supermarkets or drivers do not allow us to sign for someone’s else’s shopping!
