Since we’re close to the coast, a day out on a boat is a must! There are plenty of options to suit all the family making for a day everyone will enjoy.
Portsmouth Harbour Tours departs from Gunwharf Quays and Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, lasting for between 40 and 50 minutes. The cruises around Portsmouth Harbour and Naval Dockyard give views of the modern Royal Navy and Historical sights. Find out more.
Take the Solar boat on a trip around Chichester Harbour departing from Itchenor or from Emsworth. As the boat is solar powered, it is almost silent allowing passengers to get closer to many of the birds and habitats that make this place so special. The Itchenor trips also include bird watching trips and seal safaris to spot the harbour seals living in the area. No dogs except guide dogs, but the boats have disabled access. If you fancy something at a faster pace, then why not try a RIB or powerboat ride? The historic Watercress Line runs from Alresford to Alton and was used for many years to take people on holiday, carry soldiers to war, transport evacuees and move all the essential goods of the area.
